Parking charges are a very sensitive topic in Telford and Wrekin as unlike most towns in the UK Telford still has a lot of Free parking and residents very much want to retain that as a Unique Selling point of Telford.
I am a local Councillor and we have elections this year so you can imagine that it has become an issue again. You can read more about Free Parking in Telford here.
There are of course many issues at the same time for example the rising debt levels at T&W and many national issues including CSE.
We'll see how all this plays out as before you know it Elections will be here again, at the time of writing this they are only around 70 days before the Postal Votes go out.
It would be great to return to power in 2019 as there is so much that needs to be done.
